The Country Club Design Center offers a line of custom handmade restaurant chairs to fit your specific requirements. Choose from one of our existing restaurant chair models or design your own. That's right, if you need a bigger, smaller, higher or wider chair we can make it. These restaurant chairs are handmade from the finest hand selected hardwoods. Our restaurant chairs are designed and built with an emphasis on comfort, quality materials and superior Amish craftsmanship.
During the assembly process all spindle restaurant chairs are glued and screwed and other restaurant chairs are tenon and mortised for increased strength and durability. After assembly each restaurant chair is hand sanded then it receives a coat of stain, which is, hand sprayed to assure complete coverage. The stain is then hand rubbed to remove excess, hand rubbing also results in an even and consistent color while enhancing the beauty of each chair's unique grain. After a drying period each restaurant chair is individually given a coat of sealer and hand sanded prior to the final finish. This process reduces any raised grain that may have resulted from the sealing process. Finally, a finish coat is applied providing an even luster that will provide years of durable beauty to every restaurant chair.
We have a wide range of fabric or leather for you to select from or send us your own fabric and we will incorporate it into your custom restaurant chairs. In addition to restaurant chairs we provide other fine restaurant wood products like, our restaurant table, restaurant epoxy table tops, restaurant bar stools, restaurant pub tables, restaurant booths, restaurant bars, podiums and cabinets.
We are committed to the highest quality for a reasonable price. Restaurant chairs are all made from hardwoods such as Oak, Maple, Cherry or 1/4-Sawn Oak. All hardwoods have variations in their color and grain. Our custom restaurant chairs are built and finished to bring out the natural beauty and character of each piece of wood. These wood characteristics give each chair its unique and individual charm. Although the finishing processes are identical, no two pieces will be exactly the same. The combination of beautiful hardwoods and Amish hand craftsmen will allow you to appreciate the old world quality of our custom made restaurant chairs.

The Nature of Wood and its Environment
All hardwood has variation in its color and grain. In manufacturing and finishing its chairs, Amish Woodworking strives to bring out the natural beauty and character of each piece of wood. These wood characteristics give each piece of solid wood furniture its unique charm, and, although the finishing processes are identical, no two pieces will be exactly the same.
Because most hardwoods are open grained, solid wood furniture will expand and contract with changes in humidity and temperature, even after protective finishes have been applied. Care in controlling the furniture's environment will help minimize the minor cracking and warping that is a natural part of the wood's character.
Indoor humidity should be kept in the 35 to 40 percent range to minimize these effects. If the humidity moves out of the ideal range, solid wood chairs can expand or contract causing a split in the wood grains of the chair seats.
Additionally, direct sunlight and fluorescent fixtures that contain ultra-violet rays can cause chemical changes in the wood and finish and should be avoided. Furniture should also be kept away from direct sources of heating and cooling and out of attic or basement storing environments.
With proper care, solid wood furniture will, provide a lifetime of enjoyment and can be passed on to future generations.
